          requirement for these kits, but stability testing has shown the kit

              a. Anthrax

                  (1) Each SM will be issued a five day supply of
          Ciprofloxacin (Cipro) antibiotic (10 tablets in blister packs to be
          taken every 12 hours). The Cipro will not be taken
          prophylactically like pyridostigmine bromide. Cipro will be taken
          upon detection or presumption of an anthrax attack.

                  (2) Upon notification that an anthrax attack has occurred,
          the commander will direct SM to begin taking their Cipro. Each SM
          will immediately complete their three shot anthrax vaccination
          series. Additional Cipro will be resupplied by logistics channel.
          Cipro will be taken by the SM for 30 days unless otherwise directed
          by the Command Surgeon.

                  (3) Adequate supplies of the Cipro should be available.
          There                           anthrax vaccine maintained in the
          AOR designated specifically for treatment of anthrax exposed SM.
          Note that vaccination treatment is designated only for those
          anthrax exposed SM who have not developed svmptoms. CENTCOM

                  (1) After a BT attack, medical personnel must be vigilant
          for the appearance of BT symptoms; difficulty in talking and
          swallowing, etc). Upon appearance of symptoms, administer the
