                          (25) 2100, Consolidation of Defensive Positions.

                          (26) 2330, TF received Division Frag Order for
               following day. TF Log trains refuel and rearm TF.

                    e. 6 + 1, 25 Feb 91

                          (1) 0531), TF stand-to. Visibility less than 100m in
               heavy fog.

                          (2) 0630, TF Orders Group called at CP

                          (3) 07:50, 1/1 commenced sweep of Burqan Oilfield
               north to Gathering Center 4 (vic QS 9859E)O).

                          (4) OE300, approximately 20 Iraqi 's, accompanied by I
               T-55 tank and 2 APC's surrender at TF CP. Interrogation of
               Iraqi Officer indicates major counterattack may be expected.

                          (5) 080'@, TF CP came under tank main gun and
               automatic weapons fire. HqCo Marines engaged enemy with
               AT-4's, LAAW's and automatic weapons. One tank and several
               other vehicles were destroyed and enemy withdrew into the fog.

                          (6) 0805, Ist Tanks engaged counterattacking enemy
               armor and APC in wide area south of BLtrqan Oilfield. Unit
               identified as 22nd Bde, 5th Mechanized Division.

                          (7) 0830, A Co 1/1 and B Co 1/1 engaged several units
               of 15th Brigade, 3rd Armored Division during their movement
               north.


                          (8) 1000, Ist Tanks battle still Lindervjay as fog
               clears enough for Cobras to join battle. OV-10 TAC (A) also
               controlled AV-BB's on enemy further to South with excellent
               results.


                          (9) 1020, D Co 1/1 engaged several units of 2@4nd
               Brigade, 5th Mechanized Division east of the Surqan Ollfield.

                          (10) 1100, ist Tanks battle over. Ist Tanks
 for 12 tanks, 20 APC's and 20 armored vehicles of
               other varieties. TF sustained no casualties. Additional enemy
               forces identified from 501st Brigade, Bth Infantry Division.

                          (11) 1500, TF X-Ray landed south of the second belt,
               coming under opcon of TF Papa Bear.

                          (12) By 1600, TF had collected over 1500 EPW's who
               were the guard of A Co, 7th FngineL-r Support Bn, then under a
               platoon from I/3/9. The EPW's were not transported to the
               division collection point until 0200 26 Feb.
