1600 - Bn occupies a position to NE of Al Jaber for the night. Mech left,
Tanks center, C Co. right about 2 Km out from the air field. More EPW's taken,
in C Co. position, (85 EPW'S) sent to combat train. Kuwaiti officers

is blocked out by the dark, thick smoke. During the night we have two reports

0600 - We refuel AAV's of 4th Pit. For some reason, the log/combat train
wheeled assets were refueled before the tanks and tracked vehicles during the
previous night a Al Jaber. All AAV's in 4th platoon have 3/4'g tank of fuel,
but understand the tanks are much lower. Tracked assets must have refueling
priority over wheeled vehicles! Luckily, CSSD was able to find us and push
           fuel forward.

0630 - Bn steps off into the attack in zone northward toward Kuwait
International Airport. Bn is in a modified V with mech on left, tanks on
right, and C Co. in trace, mech in column.

1100 - Resistance hag been very light, CATT teamg have encountered and
destroyed a few enemy vehicles along route. Visibility is poor (less than I
Km) Bn encounter a large quarry, must skirt to left (West) into 3rd Tanks zone
           to maneuver around in column.

around
quarry, then is hit by small arms fire coming from with in the quarry.

1205 - C Co. tasked by Bn 6 to get back to the quarry to protect security of
combat train. Mobile dragons and C Co. maneuver 180 degrees to rear and take
up firing positions to suppress enemy troops in the quarry. Forth platoon
delivers direct fire upon enemy troops in quarry, in 'L' shaped formation.
Green tracers are observed flying out of the quarry and are quickly suppressed.
lst section claims 2 enemy KIA'S, 2nd section I KIA. Grunts dismounted in let
section. 2nd and 3rd sections all fire @50 cals and NX-lg'g. In the rush to
get to the quarry D-42 throws its port side track to the outside of the idler
wheel. The crew works to repair it and Sgt McCormick and D-49 come to agoist.

1315 - C Co. rejoins rest of Bn to prepare to follow on operations toward
           Kuwait City.

1400 - Bn move out around a shanty town and across a 4 lane highway plus a
supposed mine field. Encounters another quarry and moves in column to the west
(mech, tanks, and C Co.). Bn gets mission to screen along 40 E-W grid South of
the city. C Co. mugtards a blocking position.

1700 - We move without Tow support forward. C Co. commander refuaeg to wait
for CATT team support and opts to move blindly through Iraqi positions which
appear to be abandoned. Visibility is dropping rapidly and is now legs than
           100 meters.
