1800 - C Co. get in on-line oriented North - security get.

0600 - We reconnoiter our position, find three Iraqi ZPU AA guns Just NW of our
position. All are loaded with guns depressed. Enemy ammo and fighting
positions dot the area. The Iraqi'g left in a big hurry apparently by the
amount of ammo and equipment left behind.
Summary: No KIA, no WIA, all 11 AAV's 100% operational, 2 thrown track and
repaired.
- AAV needs better night vision devices/gites. We are blind at night.
Thermal is an excellent vision device as can see through pitch black darkness.
EPW's need to be handled by unit separately from the maneuver element.
