          CLASS V (AMMUNITION) L)ATA SECTION

          1. PURPOSE.  ' To provide USARCENT the Class.V data necessary to
          assess Class V status, assist in obtaining critical ammunition
          items, if required, and provide data weapon systems to
          adequately meet the threat.             1

          2. REPORTING PROCEDURES. Since anticipated critical shortages
          must be@repo@rt-e-d--i@n s@u ficient time to allow the USARCENT staff
          to take appropriate action, ammunition reporting must be based
          upon an estimation of the situation at least five (5) days out.

          3. REPORT CONTENT.

          4. NOTES.

          Note 1. Report should be as of the same day and time as the
          LOGSTAT report. If it is the same, state "Same." If it is not
          the same, indicate date and time of data.

          Note 2. For conventional ammunition items. This column will
          contain a Department of Defense identification Code/Navy
          Logistics Code (DODIC/NALC). For missiles, this column will
          contain a USCENTCOM assigned missile code.

          Note 3. This column will contain the major weapons system
          affected.- If it is a component of a round of munitions, the
          round of munitions affected should be listed. If it is a
          complete round, the weapons system used to launch the munition
          should be listed.

          Note 4. This column will cont@Lin an alpha character indicating:

               A - Command determined critical item* which will be
          critical in five days or less, based upon current expenditures
          and level of anticipated threat.

               B - Command determined critical item* which will be
          critical in 6 to 10 days based on current expenditures or level
          of anticipated threat.

               C - Command determined critical item* which will be
