              An ammunition item is considered critical when its
           anticipated shortage will cause a failure in the accomplishment
           of the mission or the reassignment of another weapons system is
           required to meet the threat.

           Note 5. It is understood that the days of supply calculation
           will be a completely subjective decision for some items. This
           number should be based on the quantity on hand, current
           expenditures, planned operations, and threat assessments.

           Note 6. This number is required in all ammunition reporting to
           JCS and to the Joint Materiel Priorities and Allocation Board
           (JMPAB). For this reason, it is requested for all submissions.

           Note 7. optional narrative provides commanders the opportunity
           to advise USARCENT of problems, impact, and action(s) requested
           of USARCLNT, it any.
