              Note 6. Base current days ot supply (DOS) on a comparison of
              the quantity of meals on-hand with the estimated meal
              consumption rate. (The meal consumption rate should be based on
              the population projected utilization factor, if this factor is
              significantly less than 100 percent, i.e., approximately 80
              percent or below. The utilization rate can be calculated by
              dividing the average daily rations consumed by the average
              daily population supported.)

              Note 7. Base projected total DOS on a comparison of the total
              quantity of meals on-hand through the next 5 days (to include
              scheduled due-ins) with the estimated meal consumption rate.
              (This rate should be adjusted by significant changes in the
              projected population, as appropriate.)

              Note 8. If DOS calculations are based on other than 100
              percent meal utilization rate or other than B-C-B feeding
              schedule, indicate this.

              Note 9. Optional narrative provides commanders the opportunity
              to advise USARCENT of problems, impact, and action(s) requested
              of USARCENT, if any.
