                The thzrd platoon, 545th IP C.-o @or-..-@vided security and law
            enforcement support fc,@- the Division while at AA Horse.
            24 Nov 90- 24 Dec 90
                                                      Rlernents of the First
                ,hi-,-d platoon provided security
            Cavalry Division during the transition to thp MlAl Abt,arns tank
            and the improved Pradley Fighting Vehicle at the @',Drt of Elarnman.
            15 -Jan 91-25 Feb 91
                Third platoon provided, general support for the Division Re,3r,
            providing area security, battlefield circulation and              and
            law enforcement.
                On 14 Feb 91 two teams; from tire Third Platoon, were in the
            vicinity of a S@tid Warhead impact in Hafir al 2-atin. The te-arns
            re@ieved no injuries and quickly reported an ac@-essrnent of the
            area that was damaged. The two teams assisted ambulance
            personnel, the Saudi Arabian Malitia, and the Chemical Efecon
            units responding to the scene.
            25 Feb- :B Mar 91
                Third platoon, in support cif tne ground war, was divided into
            separate squads, functioning -ndepeTidently of each :,the,-.
                The first squad, third platoon was tasked tc, Provide EPW
            SuRpc-rt for the division. First squad escorted hundreds of enerny
            soldiers to corps and theatre cages. Enabling the division
            maneuver units to move to theit- :,bieclives unhindered.
                Third platoon had two vehicles disabled during this operation.
            One HLIMMWV hit a tank ditch destroying the front end. A second
            vehicle lost two tires when it -ran ovet- US Air- F,-.rce cluster
            munition. No third Platoon merribei- was injured.
                The second squad, provided support tc, the Division Reat-,
            Forward. The squad executed area security missions and critical
            route t-econ rn@-ssic,ns to facilitate the movement of the lst Cav
            Division through the breech site into Iraq.
