                Unobserved indirect fire, close air support, and helicopter
         fires may be employed with military necessity and prevention of
         unnecessary suffering.
              - Read, understand, and carry the ROE on your person.

         8. AMMUNITION.
              - Ammunition, pyrotechnics, or explosive devices will not be
         issued below squad level, except for the following conditions:
                   - Guard duty, recon patrols, convoy movements, actual
         attack or threat of imminent attack.
              - Magazines will be placed in weapons only on order of the
         commander.
              - Commanders will determine if and when rounds will be
         chambered in weapons.

         S. CHEMICAL THREAT.
              - The chemical threat is real, and we must use every
         precaution, common sense, and knowledge of NBC defense.
              * Check your protective mask filters now. Some filters being
         distributed have been determined to have exceeded their shelf life,
         and must be replaced immediately. The following filters must be
         replaced:
                   _ For M17 style masks, replace filters numbered MSA 3-1
         through KSA 3-69.
                   - For M24 and M@@5 style masks, replace filters numbered:
                     KSA 3-1      KSA 3-6    MSA 3-9     MSA 3-18
                     MSA 3-2      MSA 3-7    MSA 3-10    MSA 3-17
                     MSA 3-4      MSA 3-8    MSA 3-12    MSA 3-18
              - Install new hoods now, if not already done.

         10. CONVOYS.
              - All groups of four or more vehicles will have escorts.
              - Commanders will brief all personnel on convoy and traffic
         security prior to road movement.

         11. WEAPONS/SENSITIVE ITEMS.
              - Physical counts of all individual weapons and sensitive items
         should be conducted each twelve hours.
              - You are responsible. Maintain control of your weapons and
         sensitive items. This area has personnel from other services,
         contractors, and local civilian personnel. WATCH YOU GEAR.
              - Turn in any weapons found to your commander immediately.
              - Surrender all privately owned weapons to your commander
         immediately.
              - Don't place a loaded magazine in your weapon until told to do
         so by your chain-of-command
              - Report all lost weapons and sensitive items immediately.
