                     - US soldiers are restricted from taking photographs.
                     - Don't display pornographic material, or any materials
         that could be considered pornographic, such as a women in a bathing
         suit.
                     - There is no liberty allowed outside US military
         compounds. Specifically, no US soldier will participate in any
         tourist activity sponsored through local tourist agents or
         organizations.
                     - Don't expose military weapons, chemical protective
         equipment, or field gear to the general Saudi Arabian public.
         Commanders will maintain command visibility over any and all
         missions requiring operations amoung the populace (cities and
         towns).
                     - Never enter a Mosque.
                     - Don't shake with your left hand or@ offer anything with
         your left hand.
                     - Don't expose the sole of your shoe to an Arab.
                     - Don't point with your finger.

         5. OPSEC.
               - Think OPSEC at all times.
               - Be careful about what and where you say it.
               - Destroy all notes and working papers by burning.
               - Properly protect/conceal classified material.
               - Memorize sign/countersign.
               - Don't discuss sensitive information on an unsecure radio or
         phone. Communication nets are monitored.
               - Remember that others may be discussing classified information
         that could be monitored as background noise during your call.

         6. SAEDA.
               - Not everyone supports the US. Some may be compelled to use
         terrorist tactics against us.
               - Always use the sign/countersign.
               - Report all suspicious activities through your chain-
         of-command.
               - Be cautious of people asking about unit composition,
         strength, morale, facilities, capabilities, support, or locations.
         Report all inquiries to your chain-of-command.
               - Never travel alone.
               - Keep your chain of command advised of your whereabouts and
         expected duration of trips outside of the secured area.
               - Travel on approved routes only.
               - Stop at approved locations only.

         7. RULES OF ENGAGEMENT.
               - The right to use deadly force in self defense is never
         denied.
               - Deadly force will not be used in any other case unless the
         battalion commander or higher has declared the force hostile.
