investigation of an insubordination incident which occurred
on 5 Dec 1990 at Ft. George G. Meade, MD.

               R. MAJ Schiller, acting XO, and SSG Chichester have made
three supervisory visits to each inspection site.

               S. I March CPT Sutton and SFC Barbour visited the SGT-in-
Charge of the military working dogs handlers at the British
POW cage near Quysemah, in response to a British request
for support. The dogs in question are the 9 British dogs
that MAJ Nye of the 483rd had covered at the port of
Jaibail. An additional 4 dogs were to arrive in theater 4
March, but that plan was put on hold due to the British Air
Force plan to move the POW cage. All dogs were viewed and
their vaccination status checked vaccination date was 21 Jan
               91. The dogs had no current health problems other than an
occasional pressure sore on the elbow. The British SGT was
given our telephone # at Hafr Al Batin and our location at
the 410 Evac, and he asked that we routinely check back with
               them.

2, PLANS SUMMARY FOR NEXT WEEK,

               a. Additional personnel will be assigned to Hafr Al Batin
and the EPW camps so that each will be supported by one MST.
MST III, augmented, will handle the Host Nation Warehouse at
Hafr Al Batin. MST II, with Maj Harris, will provide full
time coverage for the EPW camps. These assignment changes
cannot be accomplished until the GP medium tent can be set
up. Heavy rains and high winds have prevented the change in
               tentage.

               b. Vehicle assignments will be adjusted to accomplished
               this increased spread of operations.

               C. Changing scope of operations at all Log Base will be
continuously evaluated so that assignment changes can be
               made to accomplish the mission.

          3.. COMMANDER'S COMMENTS/REMARKS:

               a. The military mail system continues to perform poorly.
There have been several suggestions made to help the
               situation.
                    1. Several hospitals sent 50 people to work at the
postal facility to help sort seven trailer loads of
                    unsorted mailed at KKMC.

                    2. Suggest prior preparations be made so that
accurate APO zips be given to troops when they deploy
                    from CONUS.

                    3. Suggest that pre-sorting be accomplished in CONUS
