confused with a report of a few dead animals at LB Alpha.
Investigation showed no connection between these reports and
no verification of anthrax as a weapon of biological
warfare, We continue to rao6iv6 eqll about ihe5c. animal a+
LB Alpha. The 226th ASG is presently checking a recent
report to locate these (iebld animals and obtain more
information.
i. MST III, in Hafr Al Batin, received reports of two dead
dogs which were running, foaming at the mouth, near the
Quaysumah airport the day before. They investigated the
incident and were unable to locate the dead dogs.
j. This week the supply sargent received flag patches
authorized by Gen. Silwartzkof for wear in theater. Nothing
else received. The weekly visit to SSSC is still carrying
very few supplies. In checking in the paperwork requesting.,
delivery of items to be transferred from the 295th DSU in
Dammam to the 251st DSU at KKMC, the supply sargent was told
that delivery of those items would take 6-8 weeks or more.
This paperwork was submitted 13 Feb 1991.
k. Vehicle #9 is still deadlined and waiting for parts.
1. One GP medium tent was borrowed from the 320th Med Det
(AF) to provide for the increasing mission at Hafr Al
Batin/EPW camps with MST 111.
M. CW3 Brandow has worked with the SIR inspectors and the
supervising veterinarians for most of this week. Most
questions have been answered.
n. DA 2651, Monthly Workload Summary, has been prepared by
Maj Schiller, Acting XO.

shipments from the Host Nation Warehouse at Hafr Al Batin as
instructed.
p. Increasing reports of pets and mascots continue to come
to this headquarters. Reports of shots being given to
pets/mascots at Log Base Charlie are repeated. The 422nd has
been verbally instructed by higher headquarters not to
contact the Armed Forces Radio and Television Service
(AFRTS) until we received a written statement which COL Alm
has given to the AFRTS station in Riyadh. We requested this
statement IO.days ago and have not yet received it. We also
need to request the removal of-an informational statement
concerning cats as military mascots through the ages in the
"Military Heritage" series.
q. COL'Wesson has completed action following an
