             4. The 2-4 person stretcher crew at station 2, meanwhile, is
             preparing a stretcher with a patient wrap on it at the "hot
             line." When the crew from station 1 is -Finished7 they re -decon
             their hands and lower arms and carry the patient to the stretcher
             that the number 2 station has prepared.

             S.- The "hot line" is meant to be a combination Iiquid/vapor
             contamination control line. The crew from station. no. I is
             responsible for completely deconning the casualty before moving
             him to the clean stretcher. At no time will the station no. I
             crew step over the "hot line" and they will stay from it.as much
             as possible.

             6. Just before the 2-4 man crew at station no. 2 carries the
             patient to the treatmen t area, a station no.1 soldier takes off
             the protective mask of the patient.

             7. Station no. 1 soldiers then redecon their hands and go to get
             another casualty.

             S. There are 2 station no. I's because the procedures there take
             at least twice as long to accomplish.

             9. For an extra assurance that contamination is not spread
             across the "hot line," construct a shuffle pit for the station
             no. 1 soldiers to walk through as they pass the casualty to the
             clean side. It should be bigger than the area that the station
             no. I soldiers must stand in to pass the casualty over to station
             2. Perhaps 5 ft. X 8 ft. The shuffle pit should contain: I
             part water, 2 parts Super Tropical Bleach (STB), and 3 parts
             sand.

             10. A box of trash bags is neccessary to collect.up all the
             equipment after the operation unless it is buried.
