1 )0- How long will the small propane bottle inside the Hot Dog last*?
A- About 30 to 35 Minutes or enough fuel to thaw 8 to I 0 fire hydrants,
2) Q- Can connect the Hot Dog to a larger propane source?
A- Yes, the Hot Dog can easily be connected to any propane tank.
The average 20 pound (barbecue grill type tank) propane tank will give
the Hot Dog a continuous running time of approximately 12 hours.
3) 0- How long will the battery last before needing re-charging?
A- The battery will last one and one-half hours of continuous duty
before needing recharging. Please note that in colder weather
conditions the battery may need recharging sooner.
4) Q- How do I recharge the Hot Dog batt"?
A- Each Hot Dog is Supplied with a 10 foot re-charging cord that is
connected to the outside of the unit and plugged into the cigarette
lighter of your vehicle or connected to a 12 vda battery with optional
clamps.
5) Q- How long does it take to recharge the Hot Dog battery?
A- About IS minutes.
6) 0- Can I run my Hot Ono dirpmly oti mytni(Nk h;ittary orII t) vnlt
convertor?
A- Yes, for continious running times of over one hour we recommend
running your charging Cord to a vehicle battery or 1 1 0 volt convertor.
7) 0- How hot does the water get?
A- The Hot Dog will raise the temperature of the water by 60 degrees at
one gallon per minute. If recirculating water while thawing, temperatures
of 1800 F.
e,for thawing hydrants or as a
decontamination shower?
A- Yes, very adequate. The shower temperature should be only 1 1 01,
maximum.
9) 0- Can you control the temperature of the water?
A- Yes, the Hot Dog water temperature can be controlled by the gas
pressure at the regulato( or by increasing or decreasing the water
flow.
