          If sample is positive by CAM and is soil proceed as follows:

          Weigh out 5 grams of soil and add 10 ml of PBS.

          Agitate vigorously on vortex mixer for 10-15 seconds.

          Filter sample through 2 layers of gauze to remove large
          particles.

          Treatment of sample for chemical analysis
          1.  Place about I g of the sample in a 3ml "Reactivial"
          2.  Add I ml of dichloromethane imethylene chloride). Cap
              with PTFE-lined septum and shake for 30 sec. Add 1 ml of
              10% formaldehyde through the septum with a syringe and
              shake for 30 sec.
          3.  Decontaminate exterior of "Reactivial" by wiping with
               muslin soaked in 10% hypochlorite solution.
          4.  Transfer "Reactivial" to charcoal-filled CW agent
              container. Wipe outside of container with 10%
              hypochlorite solut4.on.
          5.  Take the container to CDD.


          RESULTS
          The results should be reported on the NBC6 Form (Annex B).
