            1. If sample appears to be contaminated by diluted chemical
            agent as indicated by CAM proceed as follows:



                                     Aqueous sample

            Make ring of petroleum jelly on slide. Place drop of sample
            within ring, cover with coverslip, examine microscopically for
            presence of microorganisms by  P4 hase contrast.
            If no organisms are seen, centrifuge sample in Eppendorf tube.
            Examine deposit microscopically for organisms. If none seen
            proceed as follows:

            into 5 ml blood             examination including
            incubate 4 h at 37C         Gtam stain and

            Treatment of sample for chemical ana
            1.  Place about 1 g of the sample in a 3ml "Reactivial"
            2.  Add 1 ml of dichloromethane (methylene chloride). Cap
                with PTFE-lined septum and shake for 30 sec. Add 1 ml of
                10% formaldehyde through the septum with a syringe and
                shake for 30 sec.
            3.  Decontaminate exterior of "Reactivial" by wiping with
                 muslin soaked in 10% hypochlorite solution.
            4.  Transfer "Reactivial" to charcoal-filled CW agent
ontainer with 10%
                hypochlorite solution.
            5.  Take the container to CDD.
            RESULTS
            The results should be reported on the NBC6 Form (Annex B).
