                               PHASE IV, STAGE A. The PENETRATION. I MEF
     C*4 conducts a penetrationlof forward Iraqi defensive positions with the
         SCE conducting multipl6 division penetrations supported by the ACE
         isolating Iraqi forceslin-depth and on the flanks of the penetration.
     C*4 CSSE supports GCE divisions with mobile CSSD'S. The SCE conducts a
     LO  night del,.beril,@, attac4 from attack positions through the
     LO  SaudilKuwait'borcier-To-Tpenetrate the Iraqi defenses. The SCE will
         attack with ]two divisions forward, one division back. Ist Marine
         Division on @he left a6d 2nd Marine Division on the right will attack
         in zone, maneuvering to penetrate the relative weak points in the
     Lo  Iraqi Southwestern Infantry Division. lst British Armored Division
         follows . behiInd Ist Marine Division. 3rd MAW conducts air operations

         Iraqi support forces t6at could maneuver into the GCE penetration

                                P@ASE IV Stage B: The EXPLOITATION.    . I MEF
         continues to,attack deep to -Force the commitment of Iraqi operational
         reserve in Southeastern Kuwait. The 6-@E expands the penetration and
         attacks with Itwo divisions in the West, one division in the East to
         destroy the !Irciq operational reserves. lst Marine Division on the
         right and lst British Armored Division on the left conduct
         mutually supporting attacks in zone west of Burqan Oil Field to
         destroy Iraqi Forces vicinity MEr- Objective I (Al Jabar Airfield OT.
         7205). 2nd Marine Division attacks northeast in zone to destroy
         Iraqi Forces  and conduct a linkup with.USiNAVCENT Amphibious Forces
         that may con Iduct an amphibious assault to seize the Port of Ras Al
         Oulayah. If 'an amphibious assault is not executed, 2nd Marine
         Division attacks in zone to destroy Iraqi forces and seizes MEF
         Objective 2 i(Ras  A aulayah TM 3597) cutting off the Iraqi Infantry
         Division in Sou@tnei-s'E-Itu-wait and seal of the approaches to Southern
         Kuwait City from the Burqan Oil Field to the East Coast. 3rd MAW
         continues to'conduct ai,r operations to support the SCE's attack of
         Iraqi operational reserves and interdict other Iraqi Forces
