   3ubj: MARINE LIAISONS RESPONSIBILITIES

To ensure we are all on the same thought process regarding our
responsibilities to Marines and Navy patients, the below reminders
   ire provided.
        - our first mission is to take care of our Maiines and Sailors-.
?his includes twice daily visits to each patient to ascertain their
ieeds (i.e., pay/mail/health and comfort items/info on phone calls,
iaircuts, basic MWR needs, etc). Take some time to sit down and chat
;ith them as time permits. Check on their gear and personal effects and
)rovide any and all assistance you can. I

        - The accurate reporting and updating of reported data must remain
a top priority also. Ensure your daily reports reflect the most
@urrent information on the patient's status and that it arrives at this
   Face when required.
        - You must plan for 24 hour operations. You will be advised by
'--his office when to implement the 24 hour watch, so begin planning now.

        - You must also remember that you are the first stop in the effort
to recover the patient's gear/personal effects. This evolution will be
Documented. For example, should someone inquire as to the status of
gear/pereff you will be able to provide a log - message traffic -
record of telephone calls - a-id all@ other efforts expended. This is a
Dust. You will provide a copy of this history to the NOOIC, Casualty
Company when/if the'individual is so assigned. Forward it with the
   patient for hand de,'-".ve,,v.

   2. Each of you must remember that we are here for one reason - to
serve our Marines and Sailors. Accordingly, I expect each senior man
of the Marine team to brief their Marines in this regard. We are in a
perfect position to help our brothers in arms and I w4.11 accept nothing
   less than a 100% effort on everyone's par@.
