     MEMORANDUM


     From: Colonel R. K. Redlin
     To:   Major D. Hansen

     Subj: HANDLING OF OUT-PATIENTS RELEASED PROM.IK-ZHEATER HOSPITALS

     1. Per your recommendation in the referenc,e, create a Casual
     Company under the command of Colonel Davis at the CRR.
     @. Criteria for pla'cing Marines in this company will be that they
     can return -to full duty status within 14 days of their release from
     a hospital. On the 14th day in the company each patient will be
     returned to duty or processed for medical evacuation out of the
     theater.


     3. Establish a system for tracking all personnel placed in the
     Casual Company and ensure strict compliance with the instructions
     of this letter.
