       KING
       - The organization for combat as all battalions assumed their preassualt
         position was:
           1/11:  DS TF Papa Bear
           3/11:  DS TF Ripper
           5/11:  GSR 3/11
           1/12:  DS TF Taro, on order Rein 1/11
           3/12:  DS TF Grizzly
         - eOO2,  Based on request of HO 11th Marines, the Assistant Division
         Commander (ADC) restricted use of Rocket Assisted Projectiles (RAP) to
         emergency use only for the remainder of the night. 3/12 and 5/11 fired
         144 RAP rounds during the day (including series white and red) in
         support of TF Grizzly.
       - 0445, E 2/12 displaced north and occupied firing position at grid TM
         102506 at 0600 to fire preparation fire in support of TF Troy's
         operation Flail. Five targets were fired on in Al Wafrah Oilfield, with
         enemy personnel reported dispersing and secondary explosions registered.
         After completing the preparation, the Battery displaced at 0734 and
         rejoined 3/11 at 1130.
       - 0734, E/2/12 detaches from TF Troy and rejoins 3/11 at 1130.
       - 1030, Pride authorizes 11th Marines Reconnaissance (Recon) and Survey
         Parties to cross into Kuwait.
       - 1240, B/1/10 (3/12) displaces north across the border into Kuwait to
         grid OS 648692 to support TF Grizzly's screening and clearing
         operations.
       - 1300, All Ilth Marines Bn Recon, Survey, and Advance parties crossed
         into Kuwait.
       - 1430, From new position in Kuwait, B 1/10 fired 2 missions on Iraqi
         fortified positions near Ist obstacle belt.
       - 1551, Bns authorized to cross border in accordance with breaching
         support timelines and directed to assume MOPP Level I at border.
       - 16eO, Regt CP, 1/22 and remainder of 3/12 crossed into Kuwait, 1/12
         FireCap ready at 1720 at grid OS 7670; mission DS TF Taro. 3/12 FireCap
         ready at 1830 at grid OS 6873; mission DS TF Grizzly.
       - 1730, B 1/10 received indirect fire, no casualties

       - 1830, 5/11 displaced into Kuwait and occupied firing position at grid OS
         6476 FireCap ready at 2152; mission GSR 3/11.
       - 1900, 1/11 displaced into Kuwait and occupied firing position at grid OS
         7466 at 2200; mission direct support TF Papa Bear.
       - 1930, G-36 radar positioned with 1/12 at grid OS 738692 hit by what was
         believed to be a harm missile: 0-36 radar emitter and one HMMWV
         destroyed. Casualties included one killed in action (KIA) and one
         wounded in action (WIA).
         2000, Coordinated Fire Line (CFL) number one in effect.
         2120, Regt Jump CP occupied position at grid OS 6768 and assumed control
         of Regiment.
         2200, TF Grizzly began infiltration of Ist obstacle belt with 3J.12 ;.r.
         direct support.
         2210, F 2/10 fired several DPICM missions on Iraqi positions near Ist
         obstacle belt inducing 45 Iraqi's to surrender; EPW's taken as result
