(8) Minimize the amounts of sand and dirt among AMAL
contents. Gear need not be "surgically clean," but cans should be
wiped out and gear wiped off.

CONTAINERS. These containers clearly identify these items as
hazardous cargo, alerting embarkers of special handling and shipping
considerations.
(10) Contact MedLogCo at Al Jubayl to coordinate DRMO
disposal of damaged or partially used consumables.
(11) Special Items: All Chloroquine, Immune Serum
Globulin (ISO) and materials requiring refrigeration must be
returned to MedLogCo at Al Jubayl, whether part of MPF or organic
AMALs. Coordinate return arrangements with them.
(12) Agricultural inspectors may be available to come tg_
the.unit to inspect gear during the initial inventory and packing.
That way, can/box contents can be certified prior to palletizing,
banding or stuffing into ISO containers, and the only Job needed at
the Alpha Staging Site will be external inspection and washdown.
The goal is to avoid duplication of effort for all. Contact the
Division Surgeon,s Office.
d. Accountability for controlled substances will be
maintained. Designated personnel for returning controlled
substances are Medical Officers, SMDR's, or any agent (E-6 or above)
bearing an authorization letter from the reporting unit Medical
Officer. Contact MedLogCo at Al Jubayl to schedule returns of
controlled substances obtained after arrival in SWA. Controlled
substances obtained prior to embarkation to SWA will be reembarked
for return to MEDLOGCO at Camp Lejeune.
5. NBC MEDICANTS
a. Per references (b) and (c), individual issue items for NBC
Defense (including NBC medicaments/antidotes) are a joint
responsibility of the NBC and supply sections for the reporting
unit. Collection, accountability and return of NBC medicaments to
MedLogCo is accomplished Jointly by reporting unit NBC and supply
sections. Additional guidance is given in references (d) and W.
b. Unit S-4's will return ALL-CANA-AUTOrNJECTORS. NAPP BLISTER
PACKS_8NP-91ERQEL-OXACIN BLISTER-PACKS AND BOTTLES to MedLogC0
(Jubayl). Segregate opened and unopened sleeves or bottles. These
items cannot be taken back to CONUS under any circumstances. Return
is required for later reclamation or disposal by DRMO.
Ciprofloxacin is an environmental hazard and must not be
individually discarded.
