         24 Feb 1991 G-Day (continued  PNCLASSIFIED

                .direct fire with enemy in trenchlines, while spotting and
                  calling deep targets to the Company for arty missions.

         1040     B Co, LAI 81mm montars began adjusting fire on trenchline
                  north and east of Ist Plat to cover their maneuver.


         1045     2/2 reports TOWs destroy BMP vic UT 6410.

         1050     2/2 engaged in firefight while trench clearing vic UT 642092.

         1053     1/6 arty fire mission on B37G/Regt Obj C.

         1055     B Co. LAI Ist Plat outflanks enemy position to the S-E and
                  brings 25mm HE fire to bear along the tzZechline. Mortar
                  missions continue on WE portion of poiition, while 2d Plat
                  continues to fix N/W position with direct fire. Co C2 passes
                  fire mission on trenchline in N/W sector.
         1055     1/6 mortar fire mission at UT 591085.     5 U.S.C. 552 (b)(1)
         1056     1/6 EPW report: = of 1/14th Bde is
                  T-55s located 5km N of position, no
                  Bde, north is 2/14th Bde        is
                  with D-30s.


         1100     D/14 switches to Lane Blue 3.

         1100     B Co, LAI reports first EPWs begin climbing from bunkers and
                  walking down Regt Obj B toward 2d Plat. C2 cancels arty VT
                  missions, requests that battery save the data and mark as
                  target for possible repeat.

         1104     2/2 reports Snowstorm at UT 643090.

         1105-    B Co, LAI continues to engage isolated bunkers within
         1230     the enemy position to silence resistance and expedite/
                  encourage surrenders. Co GySgt and XO act as clearing teams,
                  herding EPWs away from line plats to a central collection
                  point.

         1108     2/2 reports additional (100+) EPWs at UT 6508.

         1113     8th Tks reports Snowstorm Lane Red ly Sth Tks backed-up
                  behind 2d LAI Bn1s log train.

         1120     C Co7 1/6 moves to Bn Obj 57 vic UT 575090.

         1128     2/2 reports additional (40-45) EPWs.

         1128     3/6 given all clear on breach Lanes Green 5 and Breen 6.

         1130     2/2 reports that Iraqis surrender as soon as you bring
                  Cobra's nose on them.
