                  moving rapidly south along highway from Kuwait City.

         1227     I Cog lead element of 3/69 passes PL Elk in Lane Green 6.

         1230     B Coy LAX reports effective     sistance ceases  'j and Co moves
                  to occupy positions atop Regt Obj B.     TOW section observes a
                  5-Ton truck attempting to drag a D-30 howitzer away from its
                  firing position, P-500% NE of Regt Obj   B. TOWs fire two
                  missiles, destroying the howitzer and    knocking it loose from
                  the speeding truck. C@@ call  -s arty on remaining (3) X D-30s,
                  which appear to have been abandoned.
