         1030     B Co, LAI exited breach at CT 648020. Advised 6th Mar CO of
                  the open southeastern flank created by 2/2's advance, and
                  moved northeast to cover 2/2's flank. Immediately
                  encountered enemy positions on Regt Obj B, whose fields of
                  fire commanded the exit point for Lane Blue 4. Co Comdr
                  deployed platoons in wedge and moved.on those positions.

         1030     Two Cobras, callsign Scarface, to 2    /2.    2/2 reports
                  additional' (150) EPWs vie CT 6407.

         1035     B Co, LAI began receiving small arms, mortar, light and heavy
                  machinegun, and 23mm fire from reinforced company or
                  battalion sized unit in shallow trenches atop Regt Obj B.
                  Returned fire with 25mm cannon and machineguns. CO began
                  maneuvering 1st Plat, on company's right or southeastern
                  flank, into position to enfilade trenchline. XO deployed
                  81mx mortars in support of Ist Platts maneuver, while
                  ordering Co GySUt to withdraw the logistics variants
                  southwest to a defilade position -on the reverse slope of the
                  small rise$ vie CT 655025. 2d Plat continued to exchange
