After Action Review
Executive Summary
command reestablished its use during Desert Shield and Desert
Storm with great success. FASCOs were tailored to meet
mission requirements, from providing special commodity and
service support to assisting Kuwaiti businesses to performing
battle damage assessment and recovery. The concept provides
for special operations support from a predesignated and fully
functional team without taking people "out of hide". The
FASCO is the single point of contact for all logistical and
service support and is the "one stop shopping" concept for
service and support in the U.S. Army.
9. SUMMARY. Closing out the theater presented as great a
challenge to our logistic abilities as opening one under the
conditions encountered in August 1990. The co=and's
accomplishment of the mission ahead of even the most
optimistic forecasts is a tribute to the dedication and
professionalism of the young men and women of our Army today.
Following this executive summary are other information and
documents from the period 25 May-15 December 1991 which have
been compiled for both historical purposes and to aid
planners in the event of future deployments.
