               TRANSPORTATION


               1. GENERAL.

                   a. Purpose.   To establish policies and procedures
               governin@-the use and management of assets available for
               support of ARCENT responsibilities.
                   b. Scope and  ApplIZ:tiwon. Provisions contained herein
               apply to all elements      bich COMUSARCENT has transportation
               support responsibilities.

                   C. Transportation Services. Transportation for which the

                       (1) Coordinating ARCENT requirements for
                   deployment/redeployment of troops and equipment and
                   resupply via the following transportation modes:

                           (a) USAF Military Airlift Command (MAC).

                           (b) Sealift performed in coordination with the
                       Military Traffic Management Command (MTMC) and Military
                       Sealift Command (MSC).

                           (c) Common User Land Transportation (CULT)

                       (2) Establishing priorities for the movement of ARCENT
                   troops and supplies within the JOA.

                       (3) Establishment of ocean and inland waterway ports
                   in support of ARCENT transportation responsibilities
                   assigned by CENTCOM.

                       (4) Provide policy guidance to subordinate ARCENT
                   elements, other supported services pertaining to:

                           (a)  Rail transport services.

                           (b)  Air Transportation.

                           (c)  Motor transport services.

                           (d)  Water terminal (LOTS and fixed port) services.

                           (e)  Terminal transfer services.

               2. RESPONSIBILITIES.


                   a. ACotS, G4, Uhird U.S. Army.

                       (1) Exercise staff supervision over transportation
                   service operations.
