               PATIENT DATA FROM THE 128TH COMBAT SUPPORT HOSPITAL


               This is a report of hospital data regardin patients seen at
         the 128th Combat Support Hospital between 14 February and 3 March
         1991.

               There was a 'Lead Surgical Element' of medical personnel
         that moved forward to the Ist ID, 701st MSB ahead of the main
         body of the hospital. They began seeing patients on 14 February.
         and saw 19 patients while the hospital was being set up.         The
         128th CSH wag set up at MEDCEN WEST and prepared to receive
         patients by 21 February.    A total of 110 patients were admitted
         to the hospital prior to closure at 1800 on 3 March. This number
         includes those patients initially seen by the LSE. There wag also
         one patient evaluated, stabilized and evacuated after the closing
         of the hospital. This patient would not be reflected in PAD
         records because the records were packed but it brought the total
         number of patients to 111. The number of patients admitted after
         the start of the ground war wag 86. There were 31 Disease Non-
         Battle Injuries. These are broken down into IS patients admitted
         with medical diagnoses and 13 with non-battle injuries.

         DISEASE (MEDICAL DIAGNOSES.)

               1 Vaginal bleeding
               I Arterogclerosig/  lower extremities
               I Gastrointestinal  bleeding
               1 Chest pain
               1 Herniated digc
               I Recurring Corneal  Ulcers
               1 Pharyngitig
               I Pneumonia
               3 Gastroenteritia/dehydration
               2 Pericornitis
               1 Abscessed tooth
               I Renal Colic
               2 Low back pain
               1 Infected Lymph node, neck

         The 13  patients admitted with non-battle injuries included the
         following types of accidents:

         ACCIDENTS (NON-BATTLE INJURIES)


               1 Snakebite
               2 Accidential gunshot wounds while cleaning weapons
                   one to self and one to a buddy) Both treated
                 surgically.
               I Soft tiggue  contusion of thigh (ran over by a truck)
                 Rule out gpinal injury (wrestling)
