                  While other divisions, Ist IJ@'. lst AD, lst ID attack through
            the breach, lst CAV is swarmed by si-irrendering Iraqis by (-.):Pll hr-s
            1/545 has processed 87 EPWS. The entire platoon is committed at
            one point tc. handle the influx of prisoners.       The brigade is pi-it
            on a 2 hour notice to e>@ec--ite move.

                  By f,)001hrs, 1/545 has processed 448 EPWs during the previous
            24 hr-s.
                  0910 Ist Brigade receives the order to move through the lst
            ID breach and c----ndi-ict fi-ir-ther offensive operations.
                  As 1/545 left the 2,E.A to link up with the Brigade advance
            party, 3 teams were enrol-ite to ROM, 1 team was designated to
            transport remaining EPWs and catch lip at ROM site.
                  Thp MP sl-ippc,@-i for- ROM C-ardinal and WREN were planned so
            t'@at the 59th MP CO   could take over the rnisiion jnce lst Brigade
            passed through.     At OC)3C)hrs the platoon leader departed the RI.-.IM
            site to catch up with the Brigade. The platoon sergeant and 3
            teams remained to ensure the E@!@-;A(-) got thr-c-l-igh the RI--IM.

            27 Feb 91 (LEAD ELEMENT)
                  At C)107hrs the lead element of 1/545 (fwd) consisting of 4
            teams :r-,:-ssed the Iraqi border.   When 'IF's reached attack pr@siti,:,n
            Irc,nh-:irse, lst Brigade had moved oi-it.  The platoon leader-
            requested and rer-ived new grid coordinates fc,?- route and
            objectives.    The platoon ther, policed up 5':) vehicles from Ist
            Brigade Task S,---r-ce and road marched @c- the 2,SA(-) -:)y first l,gh@.
            The 1/545   continued to mat-.:h, cat@:@hing i-ip to r-:DE LRP, providing
            security for LRP.
