               their objectives. The Loran and Doppler navigational systems allowed utility aircraft to ffi& up will

                      25 F@ary 1991 began cloudy and overcast. Tne 1-4 Cav, as part of I st Brigade, moved
               its screen to the division RFL. This moming yielded little enemy contact. 1-1 ABB was ordered
               to move from Tactical Assembly Area Vagrant forward. Its tactical liaison party with two
               EEM'ITs joined the Brigade Tactical Actions Center at NI750420. One                   had jet fuel and
               the other ammunition (Hellfire missiles, 2.75 inch rockets and 30mm ammunition). 4-1 Avn
               picked up a captured Imqi general and transported him to division for interrogation. This day the
               division switched to COP JERE             II. This plan. @,as a thrust east to Kuwait which would
               continue'dn the 26th of February. This day this division covered little more than ten Ifflometers as

               it passed the lst AD (LTK) through the bre-echhead.


                      O-DAY + 2, 26 February 199 was the single Iggest push of the war. 'Me I=p TAC in

               keeping with the battle pushed over 50 miles. During the night, the lst Armored Division (LTK)
               met heavy enemy contact to the South. To give them room to maneuver, the lst Infantry
               Division's right boundary was moved in, northwest, cutting the lst ID's maneuver area in half.
               This channelized the division in a zone normally allotted to a brigade, this was done to prevented
               fratricide between U.S. and Bzitish troops. At 0500 hours, the division hit their Line of

              Department,PhaseLine0maha. I-IAIMmovedtoHi]1903inthevicim'tyofPY180840,and4-

               1 moved to M80970.


                      1-1 ABB's @tenance and supply element kept on the move from the evening of the 26th

               ffimugh the 27th of February. The division has routed the Talwakana Republican Guard Division

               and continues its march to Kuwait.
