17 Jan 91 SFC Murphy from 542d EODCT called to Budzinski
0015 inform lst EOD GP they would be going to
MOPP level 1 at 0315 hrs. Start taking
nerve agent pills.
0315 Received a call from 542d EODCT that Budzinski
approx 100 US Tomahawk missiles had been
launched at Iraq.
0320 The 74th EOD was notified by the lst EOD Budzinski
GP of the current situation.
0320 LTC Pierson notified of the current Budzinski
situation.
0345 Received a call from JSRC to go to MOPP Budzinski
level 2. JSRC also informed the lst EOD
GP that they needed an EOD rep ASAP.
MAJ Olson and SGM Atkinson arrived at
the office.
0440 All lst EOD GP personnel to the CP Budzinski
0718 Notified by SFC Elgin 74th EOD, MOPP Atkinson
level I in effect.
0830 question from ARCENT "How are we keeping
track of our units?" Answer - up to
EODCTs to establish/re-establish comm.
0945 MOPP level zero inside, MOPP level 1 Pierson
outside. Notified by CPT Wilson
1010 SFC Murphy 542d EODCT reported returning Pierson
to MOPP zero, NBC threat green, and to
cease taking nerve agent antidote pills
(NAAP).
1050 Cpt Kocher, 543d, checked in - nothing Pierson
unusual to report.
1500 Maj Poole, 512th EODCT, checked in, had Pierson
contact with all subordinate units. All
units ready to move.
1900 Shift change Olson
1928 543d called to remind us of the items Olson
they need - heaters, tacs phones, a 110v
power cord, and any kind of wood lumber.
