         4. IRAQ is believed to be capable of producing sulfur
mustard agent at an estimated rate of up to six tons per day and
Tabun at one to two tons per day, It is estimated that IRAQ now
es) in its stockpile.
-All the chemical agents produced by Iraq can be incorporated as
dust agents'and Iraq does have the technological capability. it
is not known, however, whether the Iraqis have indeed
incorporated nerve agents on dust. They have incorporated'thii
use of sulfur mustard onto dust particles. The primary role of
"dusty" agents is to cause casualities and not to contaminate
terrain and equipment. Dusty agents do not have greater
respiratory toxicity than 'equivalent amounts of liquid chemical
agents. But dusty agents of the-proper particle size
penetrate and are i&tkined deep in the lungs
.resulting in greater effectivene%t than liquid agent aerosols
which rapidly evaporate before.OeAetrating deep into the lungs.
                                                                      4-ho ranae of three
