      4. Dependent upon munition condition / type / quantity / hazard
      and referenced Command Directives, EOD may destroy on site by
      detonation, burning, venting, or chemical neutralization. EOD units
      will require assistance when destroying chemical or biological
      munitions. Destruction of chemical or biological munitions will
      require large quantities of explosives /fuel/ chemical
      decontaminants/wooden dunnage/etc. to be furnished and delivered by
      the unit/division/corps being supported. NO DESTRUCTION OF CHEMICAL
      OR BIOLOGICAL MUNITIONS WILL OCCUR UNLESS APPROVED BY NATIONAL
      COMMAND AUTHORITY AND DIRECTED BY ARCENT G-3.

      5. WHEN DESTRUCTION OF CHEMICAL/BIOLOGICAL MUNITIONS IS TO OCCUR,
      DOWNWIND HAZARD AREAS MUST BE CALCULATED MONITORED BY TYPE
      DETECTION INSTUMENTS REQUIRED, AND FRIENDLY FORCES NOTIFIED.   The
      destruction site must be properly marked and checked for possible
      contamination after destruction has occurred. If the munitions are
      to be transported to a different site, coordination will occur with
      the CORPS MCC, military police and NBC Officer. Support must be
      provided to load, transport and guard the munitions to be moved.
      The COSCOM must establish, if needed a temporary CHEM/BIO ASP for
      any munitions awaiting disposition.
