                1. (U) SITUATION.

                    a. (U) Enemy Forces: Annex C (Intelligence)

                    b. (U) Friendly Forces: OPLAN (DESERT SHIELD 90)

                    C. (U) Attachments and detachments. Annex A (Task
                Organization)

                    d. (U) Assumptions. Enemy forces will fully integrate the
                use of NBC weapons into all operations.
                2. (U) Mission. VII (US) Corps defends against enemy forces
                employing NBC weapons and conducts operations in an NBC
                environment.

                3.       Execution.
                    a. (U) Concept of Operations:

                        (1) (U) VII (US) Corps defends against NBC attacks by
                implementing active and passive NBC defensive measures throughout
                all levels of command.

                             (a) (U) Active defense. Assumption: Air defense
                will neutralize enemy NBC rocket and missile systems before
                friendly targets can be attacked.

                             (b) (U) Passive defense. Actions to provide unit
ill include contamination
                avoidance, protection and decontamination. The NBC Warning and
                Reporting System (NBCWRS) and decontamination operations will be
                implemented IAW 2D COSCOM FSOP.
