                                 k.  (U) XVIII Abn Corps FSOP.

              1. (U) GENERAL.

                  a. (U) Purpose. To provide a concept of operations,
              assign tasks, and provide guidance for developing a medical
              service system in support of the basic plan.

                  b. (U) Applicability. The contents of this appendix apply
              to all forces assigned or attached to XVIII Abn Corps.

                  C. (U) Objective. To ensure medical tasks,
              responsibilities and functions are clearly defined and properly
              assigned to XVIII Abn Corps medical units.

              2. (U) CONCEPT OF SUPPORT.

                  a. (U) Medical support is a national and service
              responsibility.

                  b.       Units with organic medical assets will provide
              their own Level I and II support while in RAA'S. Units without
              organic capability will receive support on an area basis from
              the nearest EAC medical treatment facility. EAC medical
              treatment facilities will provide Level III medical support to
