SUBJECT: Preventive Medicine Assistance Visit to KKMC

                h. Safety goggles should be worn to protect against the high
pressure water and accidental splash or spray from the rupture of
           sealed containers.

                C. The wash rack must be marked as an eye hazard area. An
emergency eye wash and shower must be positioned at the work area.

                d. The MSDS should be readily available at the work site to
           provide emergency information.

                e. All soldiers should continue to recdive hazard
communication classes before working at the wash rack. The classes
           must be documented.

                f. The Preventive Medicine Det-SWA supports the unit's
efforts to obtain extra foot wear and reduce foot injury.

                g. The anticipated addition of extra personnel to run three
eight hour shifts is highly encouraged to reduce both foot and heat
           injuries.

                h. The high TDS in the water is probably caused by the use of
recirculated water. The skin irritation and burning can be caused
by the water. The recirculated water should not be used for
washing vehicles due to the possibility of rust and skin
           irritation.
