                 28 FEB: Received messane (0035 hrs) concerning
             possible cease-fire effective NET 0500 hrs. Follow-on
             message (0510 hr-s) makes cease-fire effective time 0800
             hrs. Brigade main body convoy Arrives At A() Horse
             approximately 0930 hr-s.

                 I MARG The brigade conducted an aerial search for lst
             CAY vehicles which became lost or disabled during the
             movement north ind while passing through the obstacle
             breach. The bde (civili@An) water truck was located; it- had
             been stuck in soft sLiTid but was pulled out by tn M68 from
             27,bh MSB. The search also located fifteen other Ist Cav
             vehicles.


                 2 MAR2 Conducted aerial search for, a 4-5 ADA HMI-IWV
             missing near breach lane Mike. The Bde captured a total of
             a EPW.


                 3 MAR; Received message concerning blister agent
             casualty in 3AD and warned all -tnits. Two companies from
             the attack battalions began flying a Battle Damtge
             Assessment (BDA) mission (FRAGO 91-44) in the lst Cav
             sector. A PSYOFIS speakei--eqttipped aircraft accompanied
             each term to inform Iraqi soldiers tiltt a cease-fire had
             been declared, and instructing them to surrender. Numerous
             A(@, tiriks, armored vehicles, trucks, artillery, ammo
             storage sites ind bunkers were discovered and reported.
             Soipe remained intact.


                 4 MAR: A radio intercept indicated that an enemy unit
             .it PU 1721 was digging--iii to await resupply. An OH58D from
             D- 27 was sent to verify this report, with two AVi64s from
             I.-227 (4tk Hel Bn acting as overmatch. Nothing wAs found to
             indicate the presence of any troops in the area. The BDA
ent an aircraft to
             slirig-load the tailboout and AvioT-iies boxes from the AH64
             shot down during the previous week. C3-3 notified the bde
             that Iraqi helicopters might be observed in the area to
             inform their soldiers that the war had ended. None were
             observed in our arei.
