Bde with F-227 commander. ADC-M ordered a company from 1-3
Atk Hel Bn to launch in support of 2d Bde (1058 hrs). ADC-
M instructed 2d Sde 'Lo destroy downed A[IC,4 if they pull
out, but only if authorized. 1-3 Ati-( Hel Bn commander
arrives 2d Llde (1123 hrs). Heavy fire reported neir breach
(1127 hr,s). Si>( AH64s and three OH58s in support of 2d
Bde (1137 hrs). FARP, needs IO,OOFZ' gallons resupply at I,-,15
hrs. Company from 1--3 Atk Hel Bn enroute to 2d Bde (12-@8
hrs) to replace 1-227 in support of 2d Bde operation.
Ordered to pull all units back and prepare to move west;
good lanes made through minefield (1247 hrs). DISCOM fuel
tanker at FARP, Shell inoperable-, DISCOil sending another
one (1256 hrs). Need Hellfire resupply, as only nine
remain. FARP was resupplied with IO,OIZIO gallons fuel Ind
80 flellfires (13IZiB hrs). OH58D receives End Of Mission
from -d Bde (Izj.'DQ' h-,-s). Report from 2d Bde (143Vi hrs) that
downed AH64 has been destroyed by TOW missiles. D'FAC
advises (192'Zl hrs) that avn bde will assume screen mission
o/o. Ammo expended in today's mission- 50 Hellfi@,es, 48
MPSM 2.75" rockets, and 1199 rds 30mm. BDA was 31 bi-tnkers,
5 trucks, 5 artillery pieces, I -F-55 tank, and I radar
s it e.
26 FEB: One soldier medevacled for complaints of
vehicles conducted movement
through breach lane India during night of 2L,-27 Feb. The
helicopters remained in AA Bart.
27 FEB., Vehicle (I-IQ 113) from 1-3 Atk [-[el Bn damaged
by AP mine vic NT 78174172 (0650 hrs); no injuries but
vehicle is not driveable. Avn bde convoy rally point N-r
96554311. From LA645-0845 hrs, the brigade's aircraft
launched from AA LAart to AA Lee (in Ir@-(q) to link-Ltp with
the ground convoy for refuel. OH58Ds received the order,
to move ASAP to the Ist Cav forward CF-, vic PU 450129.
They arrived approximately 103Qf has. The attack battalions
launched to AA Horse (PU 595.'@09) at li37 hrs, arriving at
noon. Bde convoy departs AA Lee at 1330 hrs for AA Horse,
stopping for rest at '@'130 hrs. E-227 remained in AA Lee
with FARP. 1-3 Atk Hel Bii's FARP closed at AA Horse
approximately 17IZIIZI hrs. BdL TAC moves forward. DMAIN
orders attack to destroy Medi,,-ia Armored Division (11
hrs). Brigade -fAC arrives AA Horse.
