            't'he Egyptian forces commander required attack helicopter
            assistance in the event of an Iraqi spoiling attack. 1-3
            Atk Hel Bn conducts direct coordination. DMAIN reports
            Scud impact west of KKIYIC.

                22 FEBG DMAIN informs us that 6-day will be 24 Feb 91.
            Received FRAGO lt')I-30.


                23 FEB: received FRAGO 491-32. Received list of Bps,
            CPs and EAs for Egyptian option. DTAC confirms no
            friendlies currently north of the berm.

                24 FEB: Received FRAGO 91-34 (Changes to FSCL).
            Received mission (C'138 hrs) to launch 15 AH&4s in 2-minLtte
            intervals. Mission Axs cancelled at 0158 1-irs due to fog
            and low visibility. Received Warning Order tt9l-7(Fei-iit).
            DTAC requested stand-by mission to the west NLT 1300 hrs.

                Spot report (1430 hrs) from Bde Cdr: antennx complex
            vic PT 31ZIG42080. ADC-M ordered bunkers engaged with
            Hell-fires. 1--3 Atk Hel Bn engaged bunker complex; moved to
            the (PT) 26 E-W grid line to engage infantry (1455 hrs).
            Engaged T-55's with Hellfi-r-e vic PT 3Or4)93049, bunkers vic
            PT 26973609 engaged with rockets and 30mm cannon (15VIO
            hrs). Aircraft ordered back at 1512 tirs; 1-7 Cav would
            assist with EPW handling. All aircraft reported south of
            the berm by 1516 hrs. BDA was three T-55s, three BRDMS,
            three bunkers, one POL truck, one cargo truck, and unknown
            number of soldiers. Enemy morale appeared low and soldiers
            were ready to surrender. Recommended that PSYOPS speaker
            aircraft work the arei. Ammo expenditure was six
            Ilellfires, 1380 30mm, 14 MPSM rockets. Received o/o
            mission from D-RAC with new EA (EA CAI') and new battle
            position (BP 111).

            A,tk Hel Bn launches 16 AH6't., 8 OH58, I UH60 (0620 hrs) on
            cross-FLOT mission to support 2d Bde. Request for CAS
            disapproved (another unit has priority on all fire
            Support)   Ot@58D departs for 2d Bde (0700 hrs). Bde Cdr
            flies to first BP (0705 hrs). Suppression of Enemy Air
            Defenses (SEAD) complete at 0710. AH64s reach first battle
            position at 0713 hrs. Spot report (0717 hrs), destroyed
            one vehicle, one bunker and has 15 EPW. A@iC,4 reported shot
            down at PT 475350 by unknown means (possibly tank round or
            SA-14). Grew recovered under small arms and mortar fire
            by xnother AH64. Passed L
