           0830   Recon of Devil 6 and Dragoon 6 from brigade area to PL
         CHERRY is delayed until 0930 hours. Devil 6's and Dreadnaught
         6's recon is now scheduled for 1100 hours. G-3 has been notified

         * 0900 - Danger acknowledged recon to PL CHERRY and instructed
         all to stay out of Syrian areas.

         * 1720   New task organization:

                  1-4 CAV back to Division
                  3 Stinger teams to 1-34 AR
                  3 Stinger teams to 2-34 AR
                  2 Stinger teams to 5-16 IN
                  I Stinger team to BDE TOC
                  I Stinger team to BDE ALOC

         * 1803   Ist Brigade will receive six chemical agent monitors.
         They will possibly be ready for pick-up 20 JAN 91

         20 JANUARY 1991


         * 0725 - ADC(M) denies the use of service TOW ammunition. Devil
         4 is working the issue of drawing training rounds. Information
         passed to 5-16 IN

         * 0830 - Devil 6 wants Danger 5 called ref: Prohibition of combat
         vehicles for recon of the FAA. Infantry line companies have only
         one HUMMV and tank line companies have only two HUMMVs making
         recon difficult


         * 0830 - Devil 6 arrives at 101 FSB

         * 2015 - Danger reports a probable attack in the TAA tonight.
         Units need to increase their OPSEC and light discipline. The
         threat con level is "C", ADA status is yellow hold, and friendly
         air is in our sector.


         * 2124 - MAJ Cole called, ref: TOW firing. If 5-16 IN does not
         get inert rounds, they may fire six TOW basic or six ITOWS. Do
         not fire TOW II rounds. 5-16 IN was informed

          2310 - G-3 reports the Syrians will move in front of TAA
         Roosevelt 210600JAN91, starting with one armored brigade,
         followed by one artillery brigade. The recognition signal is gun
         tubes oriented north with white lights on. lst Cavalry Division

         * 2354 - Corps directs a'0400 hours Stand To for 21 JAN91.
         Twenty-five to fifty percent of all personnel will be under
         cover, no increase in MOPP
