SUBJECT: MIAL and M2A2 Bradley NET

                   (5) Life support would be provided by 7th Transportation
Group. We foresee a maximum of 300 personnel in the port area at
          any one time.

              C. Deprocessing.

                   (1) Two facilities would be required. One for
contractor supported MIAI deprocessing and another +or contractor
supported M2A2 deprocessing. The best place for deprocessing is
at the part. No transportation is required if deprocessing is
done at the port. The port provides the overhead cover needed
          +or deprocessing and painting

                   (2) Contractors may need another warehouse area for
repair parts storage. This type of facility is readily
          available.

                   (3) Recommend the fielding team occupy the office space
normally used by the incoming division. Phones and communication
          systems are in place.

                   (4) The deprocessing team should come from units who
have MIAI and M2A2s in Europe. The teams consist primarily of
mechanics. Those who deprocess get minimal training. Given the
rapid pace of the rollover, the units being NET'D do not need to
be deprocessing, preparing displaced equipment +or turn in and
sending mechanics to NET. Mechanics are a limited resource. if
the deprocessing teams come from Europe for a 3 month TDY, XVIII
Airborne Corps units can focus an maintenance NET.

                   (5) Painting will be done by ARCENT. They will need
space +or rontractor operations but this must be set up ASAP. We
should not accept anything but sand colored tanks and Bradleys.
Arcent may need to consider getting support from USAREUR as well.

                   (6) Any other modifications which must be done will be
e
          area.

                   (7) Deprocessing should be able to complete two MIAI
companies every 2 or 3 days and one Bradley company every 2 or 3
days. The painting effort should be able to handle to same load.
