ODS MEDICAL LESSONS LEARNED
C3I and TRAINING CATEGORIES

         TRAINING ISSUE NO. 16 ATH Skills Training
         (SGHR ITEM NO. 208)

         DISCUSSION: All hospital personnel need to be trained in required ATH skills
         to allow for maximum substitutions and replacements when mobilized. Individual
         survival skills need to be enhanced. Many CMRT skills were unnecessary. MOPP
         gear training needs to be enhanced. Some personnel who were not on mobility
         were tasked to deploy with minimal training. Present CMRT is not adequate.

         RECOMMENDATIONS: All medical personnel should have mobility training. CMRT
         training needs to be reviewed. Medical Red Flag training site program should
         be modified.

         ACTIONS REQUIRED: Review CMRT and Red Flag training requirements and update as
         required.

         ACTIONS COMPLETED: CMRT and Red Flag training have been modified based on
         lessons learned during ODS and based on WARMED AFSC specific training
         requirements.

         STATUS: Closed.
