Dear Congressman VanderJagt:
I am writing in response to the @niddl@ eibi. crisis and the threat of ch(-n@ic@al
warfare. I have designed two products that would be useful and economical
for military use in -the event this crisis unfortunately develops into a war.
The first product is called a TRAUMA-SLF.F-VE. It is designed to protect
military stretchers from body fluid contamination. This allows the stretchers
to be reused for any additional %,,,ounded victims. The resedcti I have done
has shown the TRAUMA-SLEEVE would save approximately $5.00 to $6.00 per
.stretcher compared to the cost Of replacing a stretcher. Additional savings
would be in the area of valuable space and transportation costs.
The second product is call a CHEM-SLF2EVE B. It would provide total encap-
sulation of he stretchers to protect against chemicd] coritarninatiofi arid body
fluid exposure. 'this product is .@de of a DuPotit --ailed Barricade.
DuPont has recommended this material for the. protection against fietvc and
mustard gases. The advantage of this product would be. in the event personnel
process would be rr)ade easier since the
chemical and any body fluids would be rinsed clean, thus allowing for the oon-
tinued use of the stretcher in co,,i@unction with the CHEM-SLEEVE B product
for additional victims. Obviously this would save time and cost in the trans-
portatior-, and disposal of contaminated stretchers.
Currently thy. t)iar-,-@iac-,urer and The ability to act on this E)roicct
immediately should there be afi% interest on behalf of the rtiilitary to use
these products,
I have included additional inforr,@,zitic)r) on These two Products, and would Iii(C to
discuss with you in greater detail tl)e options of pubt)ibiv having these productt;
made available to tl@e military. Please -or%tact rtie it your earliest convenience
at 616-399-7079.
