             C. National Cancer Institute. This government organization
         has also been told that they require an FDA license which is
         dependent not only on testing but also meeting facility
         standards of appropriately clean steam and water.    They have
         already been given $200,000 to accomplish this and a letter of
         agreement is imminent.    They have been hiring personnel,
         however they are not immunizing the pending a legal decision on
         liability. It is expected that this will be resolved and
         immunizations will begin this week. They are also hiring
         consultants to recommend modifications necessary to achieve FDA
         licensure. They also will be told to begin production under IND
         status if the time to receive FDA licensure cannot be shortened
         from that currently projected (see B above).













              d. Michigan Public Health Department. No cost proposal has
         yet been received from the Michigan group for botulinum
         production. They realize the need to provide that as soon a
         possible and they have been involved in visiting and assisting
         NCI and Lederle so they have been unable to do it. MRDC has
         offered personnel to assist but they would be without the needed
         experience and not of great assistance.

              e. USAMRIID. Enclosure 1 has the timeline for facility
         conversion and onset of production of two seriotypes within
         USAMRIID.

              f. USAMRIID antitoxin production. Enclosure 2 has the
         timelines for horse purchase and other measures necessary to
         begin antitoxin production.
