                      5/11 WILL DISPLACE BY ECHELON IN WESTERN PORTION OF TF
                      SHEPHERD'S ZONE IN GENERAL SUPPORT, PRIORITY CALLS FOR
                      FIRE TO TF SHEPHERD. 1/12 WILL REMAIN IN DIRECT SUPPORT
                      OF TP XRAY/TARO WITH A BATTERY DEDICATED TO TF GRIZZLY.

                      ROUNDS. LEAFLET ROUNDS HAD NO'I' YET BEEN DELIVERED TO
                      ANY FIRING BATTERIES.

                      AND ASSUMED CONTROL.


          26 February             Operat-on Desert Storm G+2.     During the day,
                                  the Division advanced rapidly towards MEF
                                  Objective C, Kuwait international Airport.
                                  Ilth Marines -FL)llowed in clo,.ie pursuit with
                                  four battalions. 1/12 initially remained
                                  behind providing Direct Support to TF
                                  XRay/Taro in their blocking positions and
                                  providing a dedicated battery to support TF
                                  Grizzly clekring of Al Jaber Air-Field. 3/11
                                  -Followed in trace of TF Ripper, the Division's
                                  main effort, while 3/12 reinforced 3/11 and
                                      'ded
                                  prov,    fire support to TF Ripper. 5/11
                                  displaced in echelon with two batteries at a
                                  time in the left portion of TF Shepherd's zone
                                  providing General Support with priority n-F
                                  calls for fire to TF Shepherd. 1/11 in
                                  General Support displaced by batteries up a
                                  corridor between the 77 and 7? easting lines
                                  in concert with TF Papct Bear. As 3/11
                                  occupied an intermediate position, 3/12
                                  displaced and leapfrogged past 3/11 to
                                  e-,tat@lish positions to support the attack on
                                  MEF Ob2ective C. Due to the success of the
                                  advance, the Regimental Commander, directecJ all
                                  battalions to displace forward to their
                                  designated position areas to be able to
                                  support the Division attac@@ on MES7 Objectiye C
                                  no later than 1400. Elements of all four
                                  battalions were -FirecaLp ready by 1400. Enemy
                                  resistance was generally light during the
                                  advance, and little artillery Support was
                                  required. Several Ilth Marines units captured
                                  prisoners and seized large amounts of
