Subj: CHRONOLOGICAL LISTING OF SIGNIFICANT EVENTS FOR I JANUARY TO 28
FEBRUARY 1991

The following is a chronological listing of significant events which occurred
during January and February, 1991.

JANUARY

2 - 3 Staged regimental assets for offensive operations.

2 Built battalion NBC blocks for 1/11 and 3/12.

10 Issueo Valium to all units in Ilth Marines.

11 Regt. NBC Defense Officer attended I MEF NBC meeting.

11 3/11 received anthrax innocltlation.

14 Received 8 Sanators; distributed 4 each to 1/11 and 3/12.

24 Division established a modified NBC alert condition YE@.LOW for 24
hours.

25 1/12 submitted NBC-1 report on a possible C.S. attack during the
battle of Khafji.
SSgt E.L. Stripling assigned as platoon sergeant for the regt. NBC
Defense Platoon.

26 SSg@ Tomas assigned as HO Btry, Ilth Marines NBC NCO.

27 Received an M21 RASCAL laser from 2nd MarDiv.

28 1-nd Squad, Regt. NBC Platoon stood up with Sgt. Fritz as the squad
leader.

31 Gave NBC intelligence update and a class on NBC detectors to HO
Btry, ilth Marines.

FEBRUARY

6 Division established a modified NBC alert condition YELLOW for 48
hours.
