returned to@he USS Blue Ridge from their SACC assignments
aboard the USS Tripoli and USS Missouri.

b. -(4) EPW evacuation of Faylaka Island being considered;
to date, Allied Forces have not set foot on the island.

57. 2 Mar 91.

a. (vQ) USS Blue Ridge arrived in port (Bahrain).
b.@@ Maj Beekman and Capt Geiger returned to the USS
Blue Ridge from their assignments in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

C. " MajGen Sheehan, MajGen Jenkins, and Col Savage went
to Al Jubayl to meet with I MEF Rear; subject was 4th MEB
AE/AFOE loaded on MPS Baugh and Bonneyman, adding additional
rotary wing to 4th MEB amphibs for transit home, adding maximum
AV-8B to aircraft carriers for transit, solutions for transport
of OV-10 aircraft, 5th MEB back-laod, and current Navy mine
clearing missions.

d. "Tt't LtCol Blackman and Maj Waldhauser returned to the
USS Blue Ridge from their fact finding tour of Kuwait.

e. t&) 13th MEU(SOC)/CPR-5 assigned mission for Faylaka
Island EPW evacuation.

a. "TS.)6..13th MEU/CPR-5 commenced and completed Faylaka
Island EPW evacuation operation. 1413 EPW including one BGen
were evacuated without incident.

depart for CONUS on 12 Mar 91 by MAC airlift. This document
