                                   MASKING PROCEDURES



          1.   STOP BREATHING.


          2.   Remove headoear.


          3.   Oc)en carrier - araso mask bv front face oiece assefnblv and
                              withdraw mask +ram carrier.


          4.   Ocen face oiece assemolv with tnumos under check straos.


          5.   Place chin in mask.


          6.   SliD headharness over head to oull tne mask onto the +ace.


          7.   Use both hands to oasition head harness straos and head oad
               flat aokinst voltr head.


          S.   Graso cheek straos with both hands and adiust with a moderate
               ierk.


          9.   Care-Fullv c)ull the back a+ the hood over the head so that the
               hood covers the head. neck. and shoulders.


          10.  Zio front closed.


          11.  Pull side snuo.


          12.  Fasten and adiust underarm straos.


          13.  Clear vour mask: Place one oalm over ooeninas at bottom of
               voicemitter-outlet valve assemblv cover and the other over the
               vo,,cemitter. Exoel air held in lunas force+LL11v so that air
               escaoes around faceoiece assemblv.


          14.  Check for leaks: Press oalms firmlv   over inlet valves at sides
               a+ mask. Then inhale liahtlv and hold vour breath +or
               aoc)roximatelv 10 sec. NOTE: If faceoiece collaoses and remains
               collaosed vour mask is e+fectivelv a3.rtic3ht. If -Faceo).ece does
               not collac)se and remain so. locate and eliminate leak. usuallv
               bv reacjiustino straos or ensurina no forelon obiect (hair.
               strao. hood. etc.) is caucht between mask and face. Then
               reoeat steos 13 and 14.


          15. Resume breathina and await further word.    I.E. MOPP level
               Status.
