The EW/C detachments were loca@d at Hill 306 (2655N 4938E),
Abu Ali Peninsula (2722H@4933B), lia6ifah Bay t2734N 4856E), Hill
02 (28ION 4836E), Hill 104 (2806N 482SE), Khanjar Gravel Pl.illi
(2834N 4723) and finally at Ahmed Al Jaber Airfield, Kuwait (2855N
4746E). MACS-2 successfu oyed to all of these sites and
met all employment ac--h4dii forth by higher headquarters.
All unit movements were a bed without vehicle mishap or
personnel injury.
During the @efi 6d @,06 er 1990 through 06 March 1991,
MACS-2 conducted:
- 14,900 radio with joint/IMEF aircraft. Upon
check-in with@'thii' I haircraft was provided
f2ight-followinci@,serVi4i@ii'i'@and real-time threat updates on
surface-to-air ;ysteme within the Kuwaiti Theater of
Operations (KTO).
- Control of 366 Combat Air Patrols (CAP) and 473 hours of
TADIL-C operations,
- 1,498 successful tanker join-ups.
- Control of 22 Senior Warrior battlefield @(irveill@irice C--130
missiorts.
Control of 88 #irborne Direct Air Support Center (I)ASCA)

C-130 missions
TADIL-A with USAF and RSAF A@IA(,S and NTL)S
ships.
- 3111 hours of TADIL-B with MTACC, AF CRC/MPC, AFTAC(:, EW/C
and Data Link Simulator Portable Computer (L)LSP(:) located i;i
the Joint Combat Operations Center.
- 3257 hours of ATDL-1 with the USMC IIAWY faring platoon.
MACS-2 was not officially tasked with the mission of Data Link-
Interface Coordinator but after many weeks of continuous data
operations, it became obvious that MACS-2 would be a key
participant in this process. The immediate benefit of I'AOC
employment was the integration of USCENTAF/Saudi E-3A aircraft and
USNAVCENT data link equipped platforms (i.e. NTDS ships, E-2C
aircraft) via TAOC equipment. This interface technique cemented
TAOC relationship with all air defense platforms operating in
theatre.
