              Medical Si-tpp,c-rt included constant training and lecti-tre5
         concerning the NBC Environment; issuing Atropine,      Pam Chloride,
         Valii.im and Pxrid-istiqmine to all Marines, and providing Corpsman
         support for eight companies spread many miles apart.     This si-kp,@.crt
         also included basic testing of all potable water.

              The battalion c-ffloa,Je-J 140 AAVs from the MPS Brittania from 7-9
         Jan 1991. Approximately 96 pieces @f rolling stock were off I-Dade-d
         from the Cape Charles and Asian Breeze.
              The logistical effort continue with the preparation and painting
         of 175 AAV and 30 pieces of rolling stock.
              The det-arkation phase conclude at the Pc,rt of Al Jat-ail on 19
         San 1991.   The Battalion displaced to Thunderbolt Range approximately
         F,3 miles and si-tbse-ii.Aently displaced another,  miles to the vicinity
         of Chasm Al ML@yaqttil, Vingdcm .,f Sat-tJi Arabia.
              The shortage of Class IX repair parts @l@tring this period has
         degraded mission readiness. Additionally, the Basic Allowance for,
         ammunition is not SLtfficient to sl-tpp@:,rt Ltnits potentially moving iiqt@J
         a hostile fire area. The most glaring deficiency being M-83
         MaC@iinegLIn Ammunition, the main weaponry of the AAV in SWA.
         Essentially, the logistics s@tp.p-c.rt stri-tcti-tre was far ai-tstere for
         the demands placed against it.
