                                    CAMP FIRE PLAN

            Appendix: (1) Fire watch sectors
                       (2) Assembly area plan

            1. Situation.

                a. Purpose. To provide guidance for the prevention and the
            fighting of a fire in the Headquarters Battalion Camp area.

                b. Background. The number of tents in the Headquarters
            Battalion camp creates a reasonable threat of a fire.

            2. Mission. To provide HqBn personnel for the prevention of a
            fire and to standardize the response in the event of a fire.

            3. Execution.

                a. Concept of Operations. HqBn personnel will be
            responsible for ensuring every precaution is taken to prevent a
            fire in the camp. If, however, a fire does break out, the camp
            will mobilize to simultaneously fight the fire and evacuate
            personnel for accountability.

                b. Tasks.


                     1. HqBn S-3

                         a. organize an operation center to control the
            situation. Establish a C3 system within the camp to effectively
            direct a fire fighting team and coordinate the accountability
            musters from assembly each area.

                         b.  Coordinate closely all situations with the
            DSAOC and BAS.

                         C.  Establish an alarm system.

                         d.  Train all Cplls and below in firewatch duties.

                    2. HqBn  S-4

                       a. The S-4 working party will be the initial fire
            fighting team. This team will be assembled, mustered and
            prepared to relieve any personnel who initially fight the fire
            to enable these personnel to muster.

       b. Ensure pioneer gear, water cans and other
            units fire fighting equipment is readily available for use.

                       c. Coordinate with the operations center on location
            of fire and maintain contact for update on situation.
